Employee business expenses, self-employed income, gambling winnings, and the alternate minimum tax (AMT) are also reported with this form.

  “Short Form” (IRS Form 1940A)

  This form is used for simpler tax filings where itemized deductions, many of the potential tax credits and business/investment income sources are not part of your personal income tax filing.

  Offer-in-Compromise, Loan Agreement, Penalty Abatement

  It is sometimes possible to settle with the IRS by paying less than the full amount owed. If you meet certain criteria, we can help. Otherwise we can help get penalties abated and a loan agreement set up to stop or prevent tax liens, levies and garnishment. Often the penalties imposed greatly exceed the actual tax owed. There are situations where the IRS has discretion on what penalties are imposed.
